General

The basics.

Is Create Anew Skin Studio a medical spa?+
No. Create Anew is a non-medical aesthetics studio. We do not offer injectables, prescription treatments, lasers, or medical procedures. We focus on non-invasive skin tightening and body sculpting using the ExoSkin device.
Who runs the sessions?+
Jan Molina, the founder, runs every session personally. The studio is intentionally small and owner-operated, so you see the same face every visit.
Where is the studio located?+
Studio 7 at Sola Salons North Scottsdale. The address is 15454 N Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd, Suite A2, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. Free parking out front. Walk in through the main Sola Salons entrance and find Studio 7 inside.
Do I need a doctor's referral?+
No. Sessions are non-medical and do not require a referral.
What are your hours?+
Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Closed Sunday and Monday. Saturday slots fill first. Book one to two weeks ahead for weekend appointments.
Sessions and Results

What to expect.

How long is a session?+
30 to 60 minutes depending on the area and treatment plan.
Is there any downtime?+
No. Sessions are non-invasive and require no downtime. You can return to work, exercise, and normal activities immediately after.
How many sessions will I need?+
Most clients run a series of 4 to 10 sessions, depending on the area and starting point. We build a specific plan during your free consultation.
When will I see results?+
Most clients see subtle changes by session 3 or 4. Visible firming usually shows by session 6 to 8. Results continue to develop for several months after the final session as collagen builds.
Are results permanent?+
No non-invasive treatment is permanent because your body keeps aging. Results typically hold for 12 to 18 months with maintenance sessions every 4 to 8 weeks. Without maintenance, results soften gradually.
Does it hurt?+
No. You will feel cool, warm, and strong muscle contractions from the EMS phase. Most clients describe it as an interesting workout for an area you have never worked out before. Nobody has ever asked us to stop because of pain.
Pricing

How investment works.

How much does it cost?+
Sessions are sold in packages, not individual visits. Specific pricing is shared during the free consultation so we can recommend the right plan for your goals and budget rather than push a generic tier.
Why don't you publish prices on the website?+
Every client's situation is a little different. Publishing tiered prices invites people to pick the wrong package. We would rather take 30 minutes with you, build the right plan, and quote it specifically. Free consultation, no pressure.
Are individual sessions available?+
We strongly recommend the package approach because single sessions do not produce visible results. Single-session pricing is possible for existing clients with a specific reason.
Do you offer financing?+
We do not offer in-house financing. Some clients use third-party medical financing options like CareCredit. Ask during your consultation if that would help.
Is there a consultation fee?+
No. Consultations are free and approximately 30 minutes.
Do you bill insurance?+
No. Non-invasive cosmetic services are not covered by health insurance.
The Technology

How the ExoSkin method works.

What is ExoSkin?+
ExoSkin is a combination device that runs three modalities in a single session: cryolipolysis (Cryo), electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), and controlled radiofrequency heat. We use the ExoSkin platform because the combination is more comprehensive than single-modality alternatives.
How is this different from CoolSculpting or Emsculpt?+
CoolSculpting is cryolipolysis only. Emsculpt is HIFEM muscle stimulation only. ExoSkin combines both technologies, plus controlled heat, in one session. The result is more comprehensive change in less total time, with a single-device studio cost structure that is friendlier than a full medical spa.
Is the technology FDA-cleared?+
Cryolipolysis, EMS, and radiofrequency skin tightening technologies each have FDA clearance for their respective uses. Device-specific clearance details can be discussed during your consultation.
Can I treat multiple areas in one visit?+
Yes. Many plans rotate areas across the series. For example, stomach in weeks 1, 3, and 5 and arms in weeks 2, 4, and 6.
Post-Weight-Loss

If you have lost significant weight.

Is this a good fit if I just lost a lot of weight?+
Yes. This is the studio's specialty. Founder Jan Molina lost 100 pounds before opening, and the practice was built specifically for post-weight-loss skin care.
How soon after weight loss should I start?+
We typically recommend waiting until weight has been stable for at least 3 months. Treating skin while you are still in active loss is less effective because the underlying shape keeps changing.
What if my loose skin is severe?+
If the looseness is severe (hangs significantly or causes hygiene issues), surgery with a board-certified plastic surgeon may be a better fit. We will tell you honestly during your free consultation whether we are the right option for you.
Have you worked with bariatric clients?+
Yes. Bariatric clients are a meaningful share of the practice. We typically wait until 12 to 18 months post-op and weight-stable before starting.
Will my results look fake?+
No. Non-invasive skin tightening is a slow, natural-looking process. Nobody is going to look at you and think she had something done. That is the whole point of choosing this path.
